USA LACROSSE NATIONAL TOURNAMENT, 2023 PHILLY TEAM TRYOUTS

April 16th – Initial Tryout, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Academy of Notre Dame

First round of tryouts will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. There will be a lunch break and then call-back players will be announced by 1:30 p.m. Call-back players will play in a second tryout from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. that same afternoon. The final roster will be announced via email the next day, April 17th. If you make a NT Philly Team, then you will need to pay an estimated $175 for uniforms and tournament fees. This payment link will be sent via email with your tryout notification/status. All players should plan on being available for the full day 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and remain local during the lunch break. 

April 23rd – Team Placements, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Agnes Irwin

Players who make the final roster for National Tournament (announced via email after tryouts on Monday April 17th) must be available to attend a placement session on April 23rd. Team placements will be announced next day, April 24th.

Drop out (non-injury or family emergency) policy: Any player dropping out after the selection process is complete will not be eligible for any PASLA or US Lacrosse Honors and will not be able to try out the following year (the exception is a season ending injury or family emergency).  

Refund/Injury policy: 

  • Up to one week before tryouts: Any players unable to compete in tryouts (due to injury, illness, or family emergency) after having registered will receive a $55 refund (CC/processing fee taken out). No tryout refunds will be given between March 28th and April 3rd.
  • After tryouts, before placements: Any players who make NT but are unable to participate in placements due to an injury or COVID-related illness/exposure will not receive any type of refund and will automatically be placed on Team 4. 
  • After placements, before NT: Any players who are unable to compete in National Tournament after placements due to an injury or COVID-related illness/exposure will receive a refund of $95 (uniform & CC/processing fee taken out)
  • After May 5th: No refunds will be given for any reason.

National Tournament will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina over Memorial Day weekend. You must provide your own transportation and housing for the weekend.

Players trying out must be in High School (grades 9 – 11)   Seniors (12th grade) cannot try out. PLAYERS COMMITTED TO PLAY LACROSSE IN COLLEGE ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO TRYOUT.

TRYOUT FEE is Non Refundable $60 – NO WALK UP REGISTRATIONS – LIMITED TO FIRST 200 GIRLS

All players must also register online at USL for the college coaches recruiting data base. All players must be members of US Lacrosse by April 1, 2023 prior to trying out and must provide proof of membership (#) on registration . To become a US Lacrosse member simply go online to www.uslacrosse.org . Memberships must be current through the date of the National Tournament (end of May 2023). New members may send the confirmation letter from US Lacrosse.
